A Baker's Dozen

A Cut at Home Design Team Project

The other day I was sitting here at my desk thinking I really should clean up all these bits and pieces from my last mini, it was made using Graphic 45's Botanical Tea Collection. I didn't have much left, a few scraps of paper and then the odds and ends from the packages of flowers, pendants, banners, chipboard, pockets etc.  A little of this and a little of that, but more than I could just chuck and say DONE. Previously I'd made a larger mini and a gift box to house it in, so it's not like I hadn't already gotten a lot from my one 12x12 paper pad, but still there were pieces left!

I took out a stack of white cardstock, I believe it's 110# 8 1/2" x 11" and cut them in half giving me a standard A2 size card base, 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" when scored in the middle.  I picked up the first card base and figured I just make a card or two!  Thirteen cards later I had depleted all but the smallest smidgens of paper and the majority of the add-on flowers, pendants, pockets etc.  I couldn't believe how far those scraps had gotten me.

Now mind you, I left the insides blank and didn't add multiple layers of the decorative paper but I was pretty happen with my baker's dozen of cards.  Check out the video below for close ups of each card.  I hope this will inspire you make yourself a collection of cards too!

Supplies: In addition to the supplies linked below I also used laces and trims from The Piece by Piece, white cardstock, assorted ribbon, twine, button and flowers from my stash

Triple Flip Mini Series

Video Tutorial Series

Hi everyone, I've finished my tutorial series for the Triple Flip Mini.  If you'd like to follow along in a step by step process you can find my Playlist here for the 9 videos.  I broke the videos down into several short videos to show you not only how to build the base of the mini from paper up, but also how to decorate each page.  I hope you'll find the information useful and give you that boost to make your own mini.

Two things, first if you make a mini please let me know I'd love to see, secondly, feedback on how easily you felt the tutorial was to follow would be so appreciated!

New Series ~~~ Triple Flip Mini

Video Tutorial Series

Hi everyone I've started a new series over on my YouTube Channel  for my Triple Flip Mini using Graphic 45's Botanical Tea Collection.  This is the construction I used on my Mother Goose, Not A Scrap Left, Mini #3, wow that's a mouthful.

you can find all the photos to that mini the blog post here

This YouTube series will be 8-10 videos long and will show the basic construction in Video 1 and then cover each page or so in the following videos.  I decided to do page by page videos to keep them around 6-10 minutes long and let you easily find the page you're working on instead of searching an hour long video.

So come on right now and join me in this super fun and fast mini.  It's the perfect start for those that keep saying "I'm gonna make a mini someday" and just haven't felt they could do it.  Yes, you can do it! It's fun!  But, beware, it's also addicting! I bet you'll love how yours turns out.
