I Can't Imagine

Flutter By Wednesday has a challenge #98 right now to use a butterfly, fairy or angel on your card. I thought this would be perfect.

I've also entered this in the Raise the Bar Challenge where you were to use NO Stamping except for the sentiment.  Well I made it with no stamping, lol since this is a rub on.

This butterfly is a from the digital kit called Butterfly Wings 3 and is sold at Cottage Arts All I did was enlarge it to fit the front of my card. Then I took Glossy Accents and colored the body and stuck the hemp string into it to create the antenna, I also put a few dots of Accents down each dot on the wings to bring them more to life.
The sentiment reads I Can't Imagine ... & on the inside  ...in all the world a better friend than you. This is a rub on from My Sentiments Exactly.
The card base front was embossed with my Cuttlebug and the dot folder.

Road to a Friends House

I have put this card in The Pink Elephant - Challenge #52
All About Pink . . . .

. . . . . and in the OCC (Our Creative Corner) Sketch Challenge.   I'm really loving these black and pink combos! The stamps are from Fiskars, a set I got at JoAnns.  Here's a look at the sketch, cool design I really like it.  Be sure and check out their blog to see other cards made with this design, so many ideas!!!

The paper is Martha Stewart, her Valentine Collection. The rose is Dazzles from Hot Off The Press. I stamped the Frame onto Watercolor paper and then inked the pink blush around it before pop dotting the top frame onto it.

A Good Friend

I did this for the Theme Thursday Challenge, to create something using pink and black.

and for the Pile it on Challenge #4 - Enough of Winter Colors
Photobucket

These are some more of the stamps I got from Fiskars at JoAnns, I wish I knew the name of the set but unfortunately I threw away the outer packaging, just love them though.
I added a little feather to the hat. The sticker is from 3 Birds and the black journaling paper is from the DCWV Love & Wedding 8x8 pak.
Rhinestones brads are 3 Birds, Paper card base, Martha Stewart.

A Friend

I had picked up this wonderful set of stamps at JoAnns the other day from Fiskars, so many neat friend stamps!
The background paper a friend gave me. The black/white checkered is the reverse of the text paper.
The dress on the maniquin is from a wallpaper book.

Heart to Heart Friendship

Doing things a little differently today, trying the scanner vs the camera pics. Not sure I'm happy with the outcome but it'll do I guess for today anyway. This is a composite of my new toys. A new Rollergraph stamp Friendly Words from Stampin Up. I like the idea of a roller but not sure the expense justifies the outcome, guess I'll need to make a lot of cards with it huh? Also I used a new edge punch from Fiskars, it is really stiff to use, not sure whether this is how they are all made or I got a lemon. The last toy is my new heat embossing gun which I used to do the sentiment inside. This I'm really liking, I know it will become one of my favs for stamping words. I just love seeing that ink become embossed with the heat of the gun.

Friends

Another favorite, the little girls are clip art I had gotten online and it was sitting on my computer, I'm sorry but I don't have the source, if you know who they are from would you let me know so I can give proper credit? The sticker is 3Birds. I believe the Memo paper is from Cottage Arts, I printed the sentiment on it and then printed and cut it out. I inked the little flower on the inside to better match the card. Cardstock and faux stitching pen from American Crafts.

Girl Talk

Love the fun stuff in the Garden Surprise Kits at Cottage Arts. I made this one and then started looking at some Beth Ervin has made that are posted in the Card Gallery and I think I'm going to make a whole set of these, the colors are so bright and sunny, just make you happy looking at them.
