Crazy Bird Graduation Card

a Cut at Home Design Team Project

This weeks project combines Tim Holtz Bird Crazy stamps along with Spellbinders Celebra'tions paper, dies, sequins and ink.  I used an old stamps set from TPC Studio called Valedictorian for the graduation hats perched jauntily atop the birds heads.  So cute!  I used black and silver embossing powder on the hats and then a thin line black marker to outline the creases in the hat.  A small square black bling atop holding the tassel just completes them.

I wanted a front of the card sentiment that would go with the inside one from the JustRite Stampers Bokeh Time stamp set.  I decided to just print it out on my computer and then back it with the same gorgeous blue I used for the mats.  The little notch was cut with my 1-2-3 punchboard.  Love the look.

These are the first dies I have with the pierced edges such a neat look!  Spellbinders Celebra'tions has several shapes in this pierced style.  I popped the outer blue frame up on some foam squares and then pushed the sentiment through to the card base.

Treasured Memories

If you'd like to watch the video showing each page
and all the twists, turns and flips in this mini I've
included the link above.

This mini was made for my future Granddaughter-in-Law
who is graduating next week

I used a Prima Vintage Treasures adornment
for the front and back

The front and back were run through my
Cuttlebug for the embossing, also for the black spine.

Following are shots of each of the fold outs.
The insides to this mini are 5 12x12 sheets of paper.
Depending on the folds and cuts determines how many flips or
pockets each section has.

Please check out Anne's videos on YouTube which show step-by-step how
to create this mini.  Without her wonderful tutorials I never
would have ended up with these results

The majority of  papers are from
Bo Bunny's Gabrielle Collection

The spine was created by adding Tvek paper
to the cardstock for stability;
Running  them through my Cuttlebug to emboss
and then adding several coats of
Golden Matte medium

50 is Wonderful!

I made this card for my Niece's 5oth birthday, how she can be 50 is beyond me, seems like I just had that  birthday!  This is from the Lady Couture collection from DCWV.
The paper was a gift from a friend and I just love it!!!

I used my handy-dandy new stamp filing system to hunt for the
'wonderful' stamp (Stampin UP).
The numbers are Graphic 45 and the 'is' are black glitter sticker numbers.
The lady in the bottom is also Graphic 45 - papers assorted

I used a little glossy accents on her hat after I fussy cut her and
popped her up for dimension

This is a number 10 size card, I often wonder why I don't make more of these
I just love the look of them.
I have several other 'ladies' from this collection that
I've made into cards and will post them soon.

Thanks for stopping by to look, comments are greatly appreciated :-)
