Mini Album for Swap

In my Yahoo Group, Crafty Card Creators, there is an Express Yourself Swap. So this month I made this mini photo album. I found the instructions on You Tube (I've misplaced the link so I'll post it later).

The ruffled flap is cut from the Accent Essential Cricut Cartridge. Outer paper of album is from Costco.
Fibers are from EBAY - they were a super buy and I just love them
I made a little pocket on the front flap to insert this tag for either journaling or pictures.
There are 3 spots for pictures on the front and back for a total of six. The inside paper is a natural paper pack I picked up at Costco

This border is punched with Fiskars rope border punch, don't you just love it?
Butterfly is an EK Success punch and then covered with Glossy Accents.

Cricut Cart Forever Young

I borrowed a friend's Cricut Cartridge Forever Young this week and had stumbled upon The Pink Stampers video making a card with the package cut.
I had this Martha Stewart ribbon that is self adhesive and thought it would make a great vertical border. The paper scalloped border is cut with one of my favorite EK Success punches.
This paper is from Debbie Mumm, I just love it.
The celebrate is a rub on from Imaginisce. I'm going to be using this card as my Express Yourself Swap card for the Yahoo group I'm in, Crafty Card Creators.

What's The Word

I saw this great card in the June issue of Cards magazine where Ashley Newell had used a clothespin at the top of the card, it was just such an eye catching idea I had to try it on these two bird cards I made.

This is my swap card for the Crafty Card Creators Yahoo group.
You were to use music somewhere on the card.
Papers are DCWV La CReme matstock.
Bird is stamped from Inkadinkado, Bird Assortment, cut out and popped up.
Top edge of mat cut with EK Success border punch

Butterfly Challenge

This was done for a challenge at my Yahoo Group, Crafty Card Creators, where you were to use a butterfly as the focal point in your card. I cut the top butterfly from the paper and the bottom is from a set I got at Michaels.

Heart Word Swap

Each month at our Yahoo group, Crafty Card Creators, I'm in charge of picking a word that we will all use on our card somewhere for the Word Challenge Swap. This month the word was heart.

I chose a free digital stamp from Tracey Malnofski called Audrey with Hearts, isn't she a doll? I colored her with Marvy markers, added a little glitter around her and used just a touch of glossy accents on the small hearts.

I used the EK Success border punch for the hearts down the side of the glitter pink paper which is from the Martha Stewart Holidays Collection (all Valentiene paper and lovely). I used a font I had in my stash called Crushed Out Girl, have to use this more often I really like the look of it. Ribbon is cheap stuff from Michaels but I like it because it ties great and doesn't create much bulk for the cards.

Hat Lady - January Express Yourself Swap

I just love this stamp from Stampendous! The black checkered is wallpaper, the little Hello stamp is from Clear Stamps - Sunny Flowers, feathers are a pack from Michaels. Edge punch is from EKSuccess. This was my first attempt using this stamp and to me it's a little messy, I'll be making more and one will be for my Express Yourself Swap at Crafty Card Creators Yahoo Group.

Hey Friend Swap Card

Here's my swap card for the Yahoo Group I belong to Crafty Card Creators. Loving the inside sentiment stamp, it was a bargain I picked up at Tuesday Morning, it's a 4 piece set by Inkadinkado and was only $1.99!! I used my gel pens to hand write the front Hey Friend, that took some practice. Colored the flower stamp (which was a group of stamps I got from Costco last year) with the gel pens.

October Image Swap

I joined a new Yahoo Group - Crafty Card Creators one of the things I like was they make cards and swap them. I thought it would be great to be able to see hands on how others were creating. You can learn so much with tangible things to look at instead of just the digital on the screen. This card was created using an image supplied by the group. I printed it on white cardstock, tore the edges close to the image and then inked them with two colors. I used pop up foam squares to raise the image from the page, placed it on a plaid background paper from me and my big Ideas, added a bow and a sentiment to the inside. (Image on inside was from a digital kit from Joyce de Jonge at Digitals)
