I was fortunate to get some free outdated wallpaper books recently from one of the stores here. This cute little bear just was enough on his own for the front of my card. All I did was cut around the primary shape of him to make a shaped front.
On the inside I took a vellum phrases from a set of Baby phrases that I picked up in a close out bin at Jo Ann Fabrics. I used my dot embossing folder (Cuttlebug) for the background paper on the inside (also wallpaper) made a slit and put the saying down into it, so it looks like a cloud rising. I used my Spellbinders to make the shape of the saying, the bow was a RAK from a Card making friend on the net.
Don't dismiss using things like this, they create wonderful cards and often times the papers are a superior quality and lend themselves nicely to altered art and cards.
