What Hill?

This is for the Darling Cardmakers Challenge - Here Comes the Sun where you were to use the colors, orange, red and yellow, well I think I have that one covered!

And for the Res-Q-Challenge Heartbeats 2 - where you were to use something digital (which the Bugaboo stamp is).

This is another of those adorable Bugaboo Stamps! I opted to use a rub on from My Sentiments Exactly instead of their printed verse which were almost identical. This cards for a dear friend who is turning 60 shortly, appropo don't ya think??
I colored Stella with my Marvy markers and used Glossy Accents on the tip of the hat, her shoes, glasses and flower. The papers I believer are KC and Company, they came from a friend and I'm sure that's what she said. The little heart is also from KC and Company the Handmade Sweet Friends chipboard set.
Inside of the card reads: Just remember once you're over the hill you begin to pick up speed!!

Boys Will Be Boys

I just fell in love with these papers, and unfortunately they were a gift from a friend (loose) and I have no idea whose they are (if you recognize them please tell me so I can give credit here). I modeled them after the sketch at Oh, Alice! for the Challenge CHAPTER TWO: Running in a SKETCHY circle...

And for the Quixotic Challenge - One For the Boys.

The little chipboard sticker is from Kelly Panacci and the Brad from imaginisce - Sweet Treats, rub on My Sentiments Exactly.

Sympathy Easel Card

Well this was definitely a fun card to make. I've made a couple of other easel cards but this one just flowed together.
It's for our weekly challenge at the  Crafty Card Creators Yahoo group - making a sympathy card.
As well as for these Challenges:
Humble Pie Challenge - Making an Easel Card, which has a fab tut for it here.
Pals Paper Arts Inspiration Challenge #31   using these 4 images on the right as inspiration, which was perfect for my papers:
Lexi's Creations Challenge #8 - Anything Goes.
Incy Wincy Designs - Challenge #31 - A Touchy Feely Card
Crafty Creations Challenge - Cut it Out - Pop it Up
Sophisti Cat Challenge - Embossing
Hand Full of Stamps - Using the word WISH
The nest is a stamp a friend let me borrow, it was embossed with copper then place behind the cut out circle (paper from the Mariposa Paper Stack from DCWV). I cut a few pieces of the leaves so they would lay over the top to create a 3D effect. The little butterfly is also cut from this paper pad, two butterflies one atop the other to give dimension.
The little bird is a chipboard sticker from KC and Company, the sentiment from My Sentiments Exactly rub ons.

Diva Darling

Yesterday my friend Marsha and I had a play date. We got together and oohed and ahhed over what the other had bought in the recent weeks, you know addicted people like to stick together! She showed me this darling stamp she'd gotten at Michaels, hmmm same one I looked at but put back, (I may be making a return trip soon.

The following two cards are for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge - Ribbon-Tastic    I used the bleach on this card as well (see explanation on the next card) but it didn't react as well with this paper and looked ugly and washed out so I painted it back in with a blue ink and my water pen.  I added the ribbon in the same way as the other card with the two holes but this time I just pulled it to the front side and added this darling little flower from KC and Company.  The Fabulous stamp is from a clear set from Fiskars.

Marsha had seen this technique where you emboss and then use a water pen filled with bleach to bleach out portions that hadn't been embossed. That's why the dress above shows lighter between the embossing.
I attached the bow with a method I'd seen Gina K use, by punching two holes taking the ribbon from the front to the back through the holes, crossing over and coming to the front in the opposite hole, I love this technique. This beautiful Princess rub on is one I've had in my stash from Basic Grey. This is also my entry into the Theme Thursday Challenge - Flourish

This dress also has the bleaching technique used on it.  I've added a couple more rub ons from that same Basic Grey set and the stones are new ones I got from Martha Stewart, the side punch is EK Success.

You Old Bird

I'm so loving this stamp set I got from Inkadinkado.
Gingersnap Creations is celebrating their first anniversary with a Happy Birthday Challenge and I thought this sweetheart more than qualified.
I used a Spellbinders Nestie to cut the oval, ribbon is Michaels, bird is colored with gel pens, background paper from the Sunshine Paper Pad from Me and My Big Ideas.

I Can't Imagine

Flutter By Wednesday has a challenge #98 right now to use a butterfly, fairy or angel on your card. I thought this would be perfect.

I've also entered this in the Raise the Bar Challenge where you were to use NO Stamping except for the sentiment.  Well I made it with no stamping, lol since this is a rub on.

This butterfly is a from the digital kit called Butterfly Wings 3 and is sold at Cottage Arts All I did was enlarge it to fit the front of my card. Then I took Glossy Accents and colored the body and stuck the hemp string into it to create the antenna, I also put a few dots of Accents down each dot on the wings to bring them more to life.
The sentiment reads I Can't Imagine ... & on the inside  ...in all the world a better friend than you. This is a rub on from My Sentiments Exactly.
The card base front was embossed with my Cuttlebug and the dot folder.

With Heartfelt Sympathy

Made almost entirely of wallpaper for the Papertake Weekly Sketch Challenge Sketch #35.
and for the My Time to Craft - In The Frame Challenge
I'm really loving these scrunched flowers, even though the wallpaper had a lot of color I still inked the edges (a lot) of almost everything here.
Button is from Bo Bunny, Rub on sentiment from My Sentiments Exactly, solid papers Martha Stewart

Mess Around Card

I saw this challenge on the Saturday Spotlight blog 'Doing the Mess Around'. Well that takes some thought, lol. I took a fabric swatch from one of the wallpaper books I have, pulled the threads around the outside which gave it a 'messy' appearance.
Saturday Spotlight

The accompanying wallpaper sample I cut flowers on the Cricut going down each layer 1/4", then I crumpled them and attached the bling in the middle (from a Costco set I got a few years back)
I added the outer rosette from a dazzle from Hot Off the Press (which was attached to the brown card stock). Rub on is from My Sentiments Exactly.  Ran the fabric through the Cuttlebug with the texture emboss folder.

In Full Bloom

I saw this challenge  at One Stitch at a Time  where you were to use stitching and I thought this card would be perfect for it, you could use faux stitching or real. This is the first time I've done a double row of faux stitching, jury is still out as to whether I'll do it again.
The love and In Full Bloom chipboard stickers are from KC and Company, ribbon is Michaels.

Inside punch border is Martha Stewart's Garden Trellis. Cuttlebug Texture embossing folder used on brown mat.  I'm thinking this will make a nice Anniversary card

Something Old

You're going to laugh when I telll you what the light mat is behind the bird and music strip. I'ts the backing for the chipboard stickers from K&Company. It was just the perfect blends of cream and browns for my card. See everything is usable!
The little Chipboard Bird Sticker is from KC & Company, the music strip is from the DCWV Marisposa Stack.

This is for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge  Keep It Simple

and for the caardvarks Stuck on You where you were to use stickers.
