Oh wow I love this T-Shirt it's just stinkin' cute! Remember if you are in the USA shipping is free and to upsize it at least one size since they run small.
Hello everyone! It's time for me to share some excitement and reveal the contents of my crafty goodies from Canvas Corp! I'm so excited to have been chosen to be on their 2016 CREW.
Today I'm going to share with you what I've gotten from the Canvas Corp Store to play with in the upcoming weeks. Part of this is my CREW starting gift and part was my greedy crafty self wanting 'more'. I'm sure you can all relate to that. I will be posting a photo later today or tomorrow of me wearing the fantastic Be Creative Every Day T-Shirt. Did you know that when you buy from the store you can choose from all the brands in ones spot, Canvas Corp Home Basics, 7 Gyspies and Tattered Angels? The best part is shipping is free in the USA after you place a $5.00 order, yep you read that right $5.00! So what are you waiting for, grab a cup of your favorite beverage and get out a pen and paper while you watch the video, there just might be something in my box that you'll want in yours. (Oh and by the way, if you purchase the T-Shirt they are running small so up your size at least one size).
Tammy Merrill from Country Craft Creations gifted me a week or so ago this Blue Fern Studios Blush paper collection. Such gorgeous paper! I had had this Tim Holtz Assemblage Clock in my crafty drawer forever it seems and pulled it out because I could envision it with these papers. What a perfect combination that turned out to be!
I fussy cut a lot of bits from the collection for the top, front and sides of the clock. Here you can see the little bird flying off at the top, he's got a flower branch tucked beneath his toes. I tucked a grouping of these flowers from my stash above, around and below the bells on top. I brushed them with Distress ink in Ground Espresso just lightly to give them more of a vintage feel.
For the front main focal point I used the Angel fussy cut from the paper. Using another decorative paper I die cut Heartfelt Creations Arianna Blooms flower, dipped it in Tattered Angels Dazzling Diamonds and Valentine Pink (which I had mixed together). With the pre-made yellow flowers I diluted a little Tattered Angels Gold Glimmer Mist with the Dazzling Diamonds and dipped the flowers in it (they were originally cream). I think the addition of the dimensional flowers really took the front of the clock up a step.
For the sides of the clock I again fussy cut strips from the decorative paper and put them around the curve of each side running the flowers from the top down to meet.
The clock was originally silver which I painted with Gesso and then several coats of Martha Stewart Wedding Cake Acrylic Paint. To get the yummy pale pink tint I first mixed Tattered Angels Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist with Tattered Angels Plumeria Glaze in a small spray bottle, the result was an exceedingly pale pale pink. To intensify the color I added Tattered Angels Valentine Pink Glimmer Mist to the mix and resprayed resulting in this soft feminine pink.
On the back I added a round circle cut from the Blush collection and dabbed some painted around the edge. I slit the middle to go over the ring on the panel and slipped the paper over the top of it through the slit. Attached to the ring I added the pale blue satin ribbon and the Handmade metal trinket from Tammy's store. I did vintage up the trinket again with the MS paint. To finish off the back I took just a single heart from the lace that was included in my goodie box and placed a fussy cut butterfly in it's center. Falling from behind is one single heart another fussy cut piece.
When you pull the back off inside is a round mini album. I cut circles with Tattered Lace Essentials Circle dies to fit the altered coasters and painted around all the edges with the Wedding Cake paint. To join them together I punched a hole on each side and alternated the ribbon ties so it will open as and accordion.
There are ten rounds which give ample room for a photo, journaling or memorabilia on each side.
I hope you'll join me on the video, I'll share the process of how I altered the clock and made the mini plus share many more photos. Please visit Country Craft Creations and tell Tammy hi for me!
Today I'm sharing a duo of Shaker cards. The one above is more feminine and created with Marianne Design Craftables Punch Star die. This is a single bar die that cuts out multiple sizes of stars and what I've used for the inside of my shaker spot. I used Graphic 45's new collection Enchanted Forest with a 5" x 7" card base.
The second card, the one I'll make on camera, uses Marianne Design Craftables Punch Nuts and Bolts Die. Again this is a strip die that punches out various sizes and shapes of nuts and bolts. So fun! I think this is a must die for anyone that makes masculine cards or projects. It's always harder to find things with that manly flair. For this card I used a Kraft card base for a standard A2 sized card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). I used an older collection from Heartfelt Creations, All Geared Up, for this card. The paper is no longer available in the store but any masculine themed paper line would work. Check out Tim Holtz idea-ology papers they have that grungy manly feel to them.
Come join me on the video, we'll do the masculine card together and then I'll have more photos of the feminine card to give you a taste of what these dies can do. Presently there are seven of these punch dies available in the Cut at Home store so be sure to check them out to see which ones you should add to your crafty stash.

Today I'm sharing a Tim Holtz small folio book that's I've altered into a mini album using Meg's Garden Chantilly Cream paper collection. I've had this naked folio book in my crafty cupboard for over a year and I've pulled it out often and just couldn't visualize what I wanted to do with it. When I got Meg's new collection I knew this was a perfect match between paper and folio.
There are six pages to my folder, some are small flips one is a six inch flip. All are altered with fussy cut pieces from the collection and various trims, laces and flowers from Meg's shop. I'll have links to all the products I used from her store directly below the video.
This folio provides numerous pockets and tuck in spots for photos, tags and memorabilia. There are also oversize side mats that will house extra large photos. Something for everyone.
Meg's Garden has a host of lovely flowers like the one above, I paired it with the belly band made of mesh ribbon with a crocheted lace laid on top. Please see the video for numerous photos of each page. I'll also walk through the whole mini page by page and share where I've hidden little spots to place your photos.
You can see the full blog post, with lots more photos, on the Meg's Garden blog post here.
Sue Wilson has a new collection of dies out called configuration dies. They allow you to place multiples of the same die cut together to form new configurations. Today I'm going to share a greeting card I made with the Sue Wilson Milford Adornment die.
This die creates a lovely lace edge like the one shown above, but when combined with three more of the same die cut you can create a nice frame to house a photo or in this instance the mat with the shoe. I chose to slice the sole and heel of the shoe to slip them over the die cut to give the appearance of the shoe stepping out of the frame.
The decorative papers for this card are from Heartfelt Creations All Glammed Up Collection. The flowers are created from the Heartfelt Creations Blazing Poppy Petals stamp and die sets.
Please join me on today's video as we do a start to finish making this card. I'll also share other configurations of the die cuts to give you more ideas of how to join two or more together.

Sometimes (well more often than I'd like to admit) I get caught up in my own blog, my own YouTube channel, my own commitments and don't get to spend as much time as I'd like looking at all of my viewers channels, stores and accomplishments. It's sad and it doesn't mean I don't care about what each and every one of you are doing, it's just that real life seems to intrude upon my crafty time too often!
This week I got to chatting with Tammy Merrill, she owns Country Craft Creations in the north end of Utah, I'm on the south end. Well she posted a video showcasing new collections of Blue Fern Studios papers. I've never seen this paper either online or up close and personal. I was telling Tammy how gorgeous it was and one thing led to another. The next thing I know she's boxed me up a collection of love and has it in the mail to me!
The box ARRIVED today! OMG am I a happy camper, it's Christmas again in February. Please come join me on the video and I'll share each paper of the two collections she sent me. Perhaps you'll even have an idea of what you think I should make from them.
From the bottom of my heart Tammy thanks for this lovely box of goodness I can't wait to get out my scissors and start fussy cutting away, oh wow zen moments are coming my way!!
The Canvas Corps Brands Crew has teamed up with Words & Paintery for the January Challenge. You were free to just let your creative side roam and use the colors and suggested quote as inspiration in any type of mixed media creation from an art journal page to a card. I opted to make a card and had so much fun playing with all my new mists and papers.
I started with the Canvas Home Basics Beans & Bags Mix and Match Pad. Oh wow if you haven't explored these pads yet now is the time. You get 16 pages, stitched together at the top, of everything from printed fabric to heavy weight designer cardstock to burlap and canvas. A little bit of everything to try and something to work with any project you might have in mind. I'll link to all the products I used from the stores at the bottom of this blog post.
My card is a 5" x 6" created on a Kraft cardbase. I've layered several of the pages from my Canvas Home Basics Beans & Bags Mix and Match Pad including the burlap (which I frayed) at the back, the printed paper, and my watercolored paper.
I used a combination of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists in Denim Blue, Rum Punch and Coffee shop with Canson 140 lb watercolor paper for my background and the colors in the challenge. I'll show you on the video the effects of the mists on the paper.
The flower is cut using the canvas from the pad, I die cut it with Tim Holtz Tattered Florals BIGZ die. On the middle petal layer I removed every other petal, then misted them all with Tattered Angels Rum Punch Glimmer Mist. I inserted the brad in the middle and while the petals were still damp twisted them and allowed them to dry. The little whispers behind are the threads I removed from the mat of burlap, see nothing gets tossed when your a crafter does it.
The hearts on the front and inside are Canvas Home Basics Tags & Ties. On mine I painted them with Tattered Angels Roses R Red Glimmer Glam, ran them with the Swiss Dot embossing folder through my big shot and finally accented them with Tattered Angels Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer mist and Rub 'n Buff in Antique Gold.
I decided to use the mat I did on camera for the inside of the card, added the second heart and a stamp from Kaisercraft. I hope you'll join me on the video I'll share how I made the card and a start to finish of the assembly process.
Today I'm sharing a darling little new arrival card made with Marianne Design dies and Graphic 45's Precious Memories Collection. This is a 6" square card made with Spellbinders Celebra'tions Cuddle Cream cardstock. This is my favorite cardstock for the bases of my cards.
The inside of the card hosts this vellum greeting I had in my stash along with a few surprises I'll leave you to see on the video. I'll be doing this card start to finish and as always will include additional photos for you.
Thanks for sharing your time with me, be sure and check out the Cut at Home store not only for todays card's supplies but also for the complete line of Marianne Design dies, they are certainly one of my favorites.

July page features a flip up and down with magnets.
I thought perhaps you'd like to join in on making a mini using the premade album by Heartfelt Creations. I've got a YouTube series going on right now in which I share a video showing how I create each page. Since I'm using Graphic 45's Children's Hour collection there will be 12 pages one for each month. Plus the cover and a few extras. I've created a Playlist on my channel for ease in finding.
May and June feature lots of tuck in and a gate fold
You are all welcome to join me but I'm doing this series at the request of many crafters who find it easier to watch the whole creation process of pages instead of just a walk through of the finished mini.
March and April share the luscious greens and purples from the collection
So if you're interested here's the latest video - July and
