Hello my friends! Today I'm sharing my first project for the My Creative Spirit Design Team, owned by the fabulous Clare Charvill. I've used Clare's A5 Notebook Holder kit with the Stamperia Journals. I loved the journals at first sight.
The wrapper is actually a plain paper bag transformed into this lovely carrier for the journals. I have a complete, step by step process video which I will link below if you'd like to adapt the concept to one of your journal projects.
The front inside cover has a clustered pocket to hold tags. The journals are held by black cord elastic so they are removable and replaceable as you so desire. I won't be doing a process of the video with the journal how to's since you get those directions with the purchase of Clare's kit.
The back cover also sports a pocket, a little different shape, but easily able to hold multiple tags, photos or mats like the ones included with mine.
I included a dangle on the front with two metal charms that say Handmade and Made With Love.
The front pocket on the wrapper has this darling tag included with paper from the collection.
Please check out both videos, the walk through and the process, to really get a feel for this journal and wrapper. These would make such lovely gifts.

It's always so fun to find a new technique, try it out and fall in love. Wow that's how I've felt using the napkins Whitney Kosters and I exchanged. I came out on the good end though because she really had a bunch to share! I've seen YouTubers using napkins on tags, mats, cards, journal pages lots of stuff but I really hadn't given it a good shot. Boy am I sold. How easy fun and wow what fantastic results.
Here are the four cards I've made so far. I used some Anna Griffin Mix and Match embossing folders on two of them. They have pop out sentiments that you can change up. I'll link to where you can find them below.
Remember these color papers I made from the my last post? They are the remains of the Viviva paints on my glass mat after I was done. My goodness you just cannot toss something like this. Let's see what I've made with two of them.
These two background were some of those papers. They just were the perfect accompaniment to my napkins. I can't wait to use the rest of them.
I'm hanging my head in shame here, I've had these beautiful embossing folders from Anna Griffin for eons and had rarely used them The card directly above I made step by step on the video below. I really like how the embossing adds to the napkins. I'll leave a link below where you can purchase the folders since they are out of print now.
I did add some antique lace on a couple of the cards. Can you imagine the house it took to do the tatting on the right?
Please check out my video and as always thank you everyone for stopping by.
Viviva reached out to me to see if I'd like to play and review their colorsheets.
Oh my goodness I love them. Any of you that follow me know I'm no where near close to an artist. If you asked me to draw a cat and I did you'd say what's that. Yeah I'm that bad. But I can make blobs and I can doodle and the two of them together created some very beautiful cards. Well, let me show you -
Because I'm such a beginner I have a habit of picking up way too much color so when my cards were done my glass mat had lots of color still on it. I couldn't throw all that away ink so I used my blank watercolor paper to pick it up. I'll be able to use them for more cards, backgrounds already made!
Hi everyone, Monica contacted me a while back to see if I'd like to play with one of her new printables. I chose the Harvest Fair Bundle . Instead of a journal though I decided to do an assortment of projects. I definitely wanted some fall cards made.
I made three cards and loved each one but my favorite is the fussy cut tree,
someone is going to love getting that I'm sure
Included in the printables were tags and a pocket. I'm saving these for a future journal
The last project was an altered Composition book.
They are always so inexpensive this time of year and make great tuck ins
when you need just a little something for someone.
I hope you've enjoyed my little picture walk through of projects.
If you'd like to see more, or the how I did them please check out my video below.
