Butterfly Garden Chipboard Mini

a Meg's Garden Design Team Project

Hi everyone I'm here today to share the gorgeous Butterfly Collection sold exclusively at Meg's Garden.   You can also purchase this in a digital download format so something for everyone.

I used six medium weight black chipboard pieces for my covers and pages, something I rarely do.  I just thought these papers lent themselves to be showcased on the black and the chipboard worked perfectly.  I trimmed one side of each page with the Time Holtz Alterations On the Edge die Plaque.

The front closure sports this great door knob again from Tim Holtz sitting atop some of the Vintage Trinkets from Megs.

Please join me on the video below where I'll show you each two page spread like the one above.  Each two pages has been adorned with some type of pocket or slip in for additional photo mats or books.

My Friend Cards using Spellbinders Celebra'tions

a Cut at Home Design Team Project

Today I've got five card examples to share with you all using the Spellbinders Celebra'tions line.  I love this collection of papers, dies, stamps and embellishments.  It's such happy colors that just scream to be played with.  I hope you'll join me on the video to see how you can create a card with minimal papers and embellishments and still retain the WOW factor.

I'd certainly be remiss if I didn't tempt your curiosity a little with some pics of the finished cards.  I used a lot of Tim Holtz distress inks in my cards including the newest colors of Mermaid Lagoon and Abandoned Coral.

The Celebra'tions line includes paper!  And, its fantastic paper.  You can get a designer set of prints in  one of two collections, I used the Special Occasions for my cards.  The solids also come in a nifty assortment of 24 sheets giving you a taste of each color.  Or if you find you use one solid color more than the other you can purchase a package of one.  All papers are 12"x 12" and I love them because they are a great paper card making weight and I've not had them crack when scored which is a BIG plus in my book!

I was fortunate to hit JoAnns at just the right time to score some great Martha Stewart punches, I used the Deco Fan and Cathedral Lace on my cards today.  I love when I can add to my stash and still not empty my pocket book!  You can see a little twinkling of Wink of Stella clear on the strip that I wove the Celebra'tions Linen Thread through, and there's just a peek of that dotted green that comes from the Special Occasions paper collection.

When you join me on the video I'll reveal how I matched my cardstock perfectly to the new Tim Holtz Abandoned Coral ink I used on the flower.  A girls got to have some secrets doesn't she, but psssssssss I'll reveal mine but you have to come watch to see!

Lastly is just a smidge of the card I'll do start to finish and show you how less can become more and still have a WOW in it!  Thanks for joining me, links to products from the Cut at Home store below the video.  I'd love for you to comment and become a follower today, it always makes my heart soar when I see someone new has decided to follow my blog!  Have fun crafting everyone and come back soon.

Prima Bedtime Story Baby Cards

After finishing up my mini from Prima's Bedtime Story (blog post is here) I had scraps laying on my desk, isn't that usually the way?  Instead of scooping them up with the full sheets I thought why not make a few baby cards, one to go with the mini and the others for backup.

This is the one I made to accompany the mini.  I had just enough ribbon left for this eye popping bow.

Here's the second one, with the baby banner swinging across the top from all the little baby words fussy cut from one of the mats.

The last one has these clouds that were in my baby bin (I have one bin where I put all things baby as I run across them).  The ribbon and star also from the baby bin.  You'll see how well the Prima paper pieced to form the mat and the perfect colors to go with what I already had on hand.

Love making envelopes to go with the cards, here's these three.
There's lots more photos on this short video -

Crazy Bird Graduation Card

a Cut at Home Design Team Project

This weeks project combines Tim Holtz Bird Crazy stamps along with Spellbinders Celebra'tions paper, dies, sequins and ink.  I used an old stamps set from TPC Studio called Valedictorian for the graduation hats perched jauntily atop the birds heads.  So cute!  I used black and silver embossing powder on the hats and then a thin line black marker to outline the creases in the hat.  A small square black bling atop holding the tassel just completes them.

I wanted a front of the card sentiment that would go with the inside one from the JustRite Stampers Bokeh Time stamp set.  I decided to just print it out on my computer and then back it with the same gorgeous blue I used for the mats.  The little notch was cut with my 1-2-3 punchboard.  Love the look.

These are the first dies I have with the pierced edges such a neat look!  Spellbinders Celebra'tions has several shapes in this pierced style.  I popped the outer blue frame up on some foam squares and then pushed the sentiment through to the card base.

Check out the video for a complete start to finish.
