Just Dropped By

Spider and card from Doodlecharms Cartridge for the Cricut. After I cut the card I wasn't sure what to do next so I cut the spider from some dotted paper and ran it through the Mosaic Cuttlebug Embossing folder and then inked it with several shades of Distress Inks.

The sentiment are glitter alpha stickers from K and Co, black eyelash yarn from Jo Ann Fabrics.

Got Ya Covered

Ducky and the Umbella are from the Doodlecharms Cartridge (Cricut). I cut his nose and wing out of separate papers, inked him all around, added the stitching lines and eye. I will be so glad when my stamps from Peachy Keen come, I just am not good at doing eyes!

This darling Rain paper is from Debbie Mumm, so cute! Printed the saying on my computer (my own words) and then cut them out with a Marvy square scallop punch and inked to match card.

Special Person

I made this card for my Big Sissy's birthday on Tuesday. Light Lavendar mat has been stamped with a roller stamp from Stampin Up.
Sentiment is My Sentiments Exactly (see below for inside verse)

Stamp is Solidago Sprig by Delta (from Michaels). I have loved this stamp for a long time, I have a friend who has it. It was in the clearance bin the other day for $3, I snatched it up real quick! Side border is a punch from Fiskars, silver strip on right is a Dazzels from Paper Wishes.

A Song in Your Heart

This is for the Word Swap at Crafty Card Creators Yahoo group where you were to use the word 'Song' somewhere on your card.

The tickets are from a digital kit by Joyce de Jonge called Young Musicians. I printed the verse on the one ticket using Photo Shop.  Corner punch on brown mat from EK Success

Tulip Heaven

I took this photo at the Woodland Washington Tulip Festival and when my Yahoo Group, Crafty Card Creators decided on a swap this month with the theme of Tulips I just knew I had to use it.

It was a very simple card to make I printed the photo and then taped it straight to the card at the bottom and gradually increased the pot dots as I went up so it gave the illusion of popping off the paper. I had cut little pieces out between some of the tulips to give it a little more dimension before I placed it on the cardstock (Debbie Mumm's).

This darling butterfly is a punch from Martha Stewart with wire antenna and a pearl that's been copic painted purple and had glitter applied to. The butterfly was inked with several colors and a touch of glitter added. The inside sentiment is a rub on from Basic Grey that says 'as delicate as a flower'

Girly Girl

This stamp was one from Michaels a friend bought Friday while we were out shopping, I borrowed it and stamped a few and failed to get the name or maker, sorry. I rarely stamp in a color but like the end result of the red on kraft. The background mat is from DCWV Love & Wedding 8x8 Scrapbook kit in a stack.

Girly Girl is a dimensional sticker from K&Co's BW Purses.

The bottom border is a EK Success border punch on another paper from this stack.

Challenge Card

Sir Stampalot's May Challenge was Butterflies and Blossoms and I'm really liking how the end result of my challenge card came out. I did a lot of distressing with Tim Holtz Distress Inks to give it the soft blended look.

The sentiment is a Hero Arts Stamp - 'You make me smile'

The butterfly was punched twice from a Martha Stewart punch. The first was adhered directly to the paper, the wire antenna were added and then the top one pop-dotted up to let the wings fly. I put just a tiny bit of multi-colored glitter glue down the body to give it a little shimmer.

I ran the top mat through my Cuttlebug embossing folder Swiss dots after I had applied the Basic Grey flower rub on. It really pressed the rub on into the paper and you'd be hard pressed (no pun intended, lol) to see that it's a rub on now

Imagine it

I so love getting my card magazines each month. You just can glean so much inspiration from others. In the May 2010 issue of Card Maker Debby Forshey-Choma created a card like this, thanks Debbie for your great inspiration! I printed the verse out on my computer and printed it on cream cardstock and then distressed it with Spiced Marmalade and Brushed Corduroy Distress Inks by Tim Holtz.  The black mat is a SVG cut from Penny Duncan.

The hat and diploma were stickers I got at JoAnns and I'm sorry I combined packages (bad bad bad) and now don't know which came from where. The diploma was simply stark white so I took some of the distressing ink and gave it that older parchment paper look.

I really like the Kraft cardstock for a base but again didn't like the out of package look so used the inks to distress it as well and used the Tim Holtz distressor tool to curl and rough up the edges. I ended with rounding the corners with my much beloved Corner Chomper to give it that finished look.

Cricut Cart Forever Young

I borrowed a friend's Cricut Cartridge Forever Young this week and had stumbled upon The Pink Stampers video making a card with the package cut.

I had this Martha Stewart ribbon that is self adhesive and thought it would make a great vertical border. The paper scalloped border is cut with one of my favorite EK Success punches.

This paper is from Debbie Mumm, I just love it.

The celebrate is a rub on from Imaginisce. I'm going to be using this card as my Express Yourself Swap card for the Yahoo group I'm in, Crafty Card Creators.

What's The Word

I saw this great card in the June issue of Cards magazine where Ashley Newell had used a clothespin at the top of the card, it was just such an eye catching idea I had to try it on these two bird cards I made.

Graduation Dolls

Using Everyday Paper Cards Cart for my Cricut Expression I made 3 cards for Graduates in their school colors.  Various chipboard pieces were added as accents and I'm sorry I didn't keep track of what came from where. 

You Go Girl and Wow are rubber stamps from a Grab Bag I got from My Sentiments Exactly.  Solid papers are from Debbie Mumm

The numbers are Glitter stickers from K & Co. 

 My other half isn't so keen on these, he thinks they look too little kid.  So give me your opinion before I send them out and regret it, do you think they're ok for my nieces and nephews who are graduating, I'm thick skinned I can take your honest opinion!
