Flower Pot of Friendship

Photobucket

I've entered this card in the Pile it On Challenge for this week which is Let Us See Flowers
We had a challenge this week at our Yahoo Group (Crafty Card Creators) to create a shaped card. I still had some of these cards to make from Hot Off the Press. This flowerpot was perfect!
I printed the sentiment on the computer then ran it through the Cuttlebug with my Spellbinders die and then again to emboss.
Added a little glitter to the flowers and the bow (ribbon from Michaels) and the brads to the middle (also HOTP).

Road to a Friends House

I have put this card in The Pink Elephant - Challenge #52
All About Pink . . . .

. . . . . and in the OCC (Our Creative Corner) Sketch Challenge.   I'm really loving these black and pink combos! The stamps are from Fiskars, a set I got at JoAnns.  Here's a look at the sketch, cool design I really like it.  Be sure and check out their blog to see other cards made with this design, so many ideas!!!

The paper is Martha Stewart, her Valentine Collection. The rose is Dazzles from Hot Off The Press. I stamped the Frame onto Watercolor paper and then inked the pink blush around it before pop dotting the top frame onto it.

Aperture

I've been seeing so many lovely cards with an aperture cut out that I wanted to try one again myself. I didn't like just the single fold so I added another paper to make a tri fold card. I cut a duplicate of the white flower from an extra bit of the floral paper and popped it up with large dots and put it on the front of the card in exactly the same spot it was on the tri fold of the card. I also used the Cuttlebug Texture embossing folder on the front of the card.
With my Spellbinders Nesties I cut, embossed and inked the oval and then added the faux stitiching. Stamp is fron Inkadinkado.
I just love this printed paper from Hot Off the Press's Floral Pak. I cut the right flap large enough so that it also covers the back of the card with the solid green.
All in all I'm happy with how it turned out.

Many Happy Surprises

Another card from HOTP with an aperture. I'm really like these. I added Glossy Accents and some Martha Stewart glitter to the hummingbird.

2nd Card - Happy Birthday with Aperture

Here's the second card I created using the HOTP Paper Folding Card Kit, I used some papers from a new paper pad I got from Me & My Big Ideas for the front and inside papers, a couple of rub ons from Memory Crafts. The pin wheel on the front is one a friend showed me how to make, so simple, the stick is just an inked toothpick. Added a little glitter and some Glossy Accents. On this one after I had adhered the front dotted paper I stuck the card in my Cricut and cut the aperture using the Accent Essentials card and set on Center Point. This worked really good only I should have had the pressure set a little more since there were too sheets and the cardstock is Martha Stewarts and tends to be a little heavier.

Happy Birthday With Aperture

When I first started making cards last year I ordered these kits from Hot Off the Press. Yesterday I got them out and started playing. This is one and the next post will be the leftovers made into another card. I added glitter and glossy accents on the candles, some inking and brads, just to give it my touch.

Thank You Thank You

I got these neat bug stamps for my birthday and have been dying to play with them. I stamped the little caterpillar, inked him with my markers, added some glitter and then applied Glossy Accents. I used a new punch Paul got me for the edge, it's called Arrow, by EK Success, but it's actually little hearts, perfect for this time of year. The small gold border is from some Dazzels from HOTP that I've had for a year and hadn't played much with.
