In answer to your question about renewing your Cricut mat. I just put mine in the sink with mild dishwashing liquid and let it soak for 10 minutes or so. Then dry it as best you can and then let it continue to air dry or blast it a little with the heat gun (not to close) then I spray it with the adhesive. I have two mats, so one is always ready for use.
