Hortensia Perpetual Mini Album

Hi Crafty Friends I'm here today to share a project for Clare at My Creative Spirit using Stamperia's Hortensia Collection.  If you aren't familiar with it please check out the links at the bottom of this post.  If you love flowers, especially hydrangeas then this is truly the collection for you.  Hydrangeas have always been a favorite for me.  Growing up Momma had huge ones growing outside our dining room window.   I remember one year she picked a large bouquet and dried them for a centerpiece.  My goodness they lasted forever.  So pretty, so many memories....

Isn't she beautiful?  She's dreaming of peace and contentment and a world free of Pandemics, less stress and turmoil, oh wait, I think that's what I'm dreaming of.  

This book has a hard front and back with accordian pages that open to the right and left.  A fabulous design Clare made!  It allows you to view the complete front or back all at one time.

These are the first two pages.  As I said, it's stunning paper don't you think?  Stamperia never disappoints.

For those of you that have followed my creative journey you know I love repurposing things.  The parchment bag and the pink doily with the flower cluster were all one bag gifted to me by my friend Paula.  I cut the bag top off so I could use bits on both pages.  It's the perfect complement to the papers. These are pages 3 and 4.

Pages 5 and 6 share one of the lovely purple hearts my friend Manuela (Bunny Bow on YouTube) gifted to me many moons ago.  I've been hoarding but I thought it time to share with whomever purchases this book. Things are always better when shared don't you think?

I have created a playlist for anyone wishing to know how I created any of the elements you see on these pages.  Each two pages are a separate video so it will be easy for you to find the correct video without having to wade through all the things you may not be interested in.  These are pages 7 and 8.  Here I created an acetate window which eventually could house a very special photo.

Notebook and Wrapper using Stamperia's Inspire Collection

Hello my friends! Today I'm sharing my first project for the My Creative Spirit Design Team, owned by the fabulous Clare Charvill.  I've used Clare's A5 Notebook Holder kit with the Stamperia Journals.  I loved the journals at first sight.

The wrapper is actually a plain paper bag transformed into this lovely carrier for the journals.  I have a complete, step by step process video which I will link below if you'd like to adapt the concept to one of your journal projects.

The front inside cover has a clustered pocket to hold tags.  The journals are held by black cord elastic so they are removable and replaceable as you so desire.  I won't be doing a process of the video with the journal how to's since you get those directions with the purchase of Clare's kit.

The back cover also sports a pocket, a little different shape, but easily able to hold multiple tags, photos or mats like the ones included with mine.

I included a dangle on the front with two metal charms that say Handmade and Made With Love.

The front pocket on the wrapper has this darling tag included with paper from the collection.

My Creative Spirit's Flip Flap Album and Box - My Opinion

Hi everyone, several weeks back my friend Clare Charvill of My Creative Spirit sent me some of her MDF kits to play with along with some rolls of her black assembly tape. I used Prima's Flirty Fleur collection on my box and album.

I've got to admit I was so skeptical that the black tape would be durable and strong enough to really provide a great way to assemble the box and mini.  Well check out my video (link at the bottom of this post) to find out what I think now.

This was a great little mini with the box that Clare designed.  Of course when you start adding your own paper and embellishments it begins to change it up.  I tried to follow Clare's instructions to the T so the basic construction of both are exactly as she had them.  You had two options to use glue and tape or only tape for the construction.  I chose the tape because I really wanted an honest opinion to give you of what I thought.

This is called a Flip/Flap because it has identical pages on both sides that flip in and flap under the preceding page.  Great idea and great use of every inch of the album's space.  You'll be surprised at how many photos this little gem will hold.

The box comes with a precut heart.  I added acetate to make a shaker.  Loved how the glitter (Chunky Glass Gitter from ReneaBouquets) and colored sequins look as they move about.  The flowers and other bits were all Prima.

Clare designed the hinges so they move and allow the mini to lay almost flat when open, it also allows the pages to intertwine when closed.  So clever this lady is!

I also have to give a shout out to my friend Paula who sent me the paper, flowers and some of the embellishments to add to my own stash.  Gave me lots of things to work with. 

I'll be using up the scraps in another video making some cards to share with you.  I'll also have a little process video, I won't share the whole construction since this kit and/or PDF is available from Clare's store and she did all the hard work designing it.  I do want to share in that video some of my decorating since it's different from hers and may give you more food for thought.
