I Won a Canon Printer!!!!!

Prize Winnings

How many times have I told you
ENTER THOSE
GIVE-AWAYS & DRAWINGS!

A couple of weeks ago My Craft Channel had a post on Facebook where you could win a Canon Pixima IP8720 wide format printer.  As usual I entered and then shared the post with a lot of my crafty friends.  Saturday before last I was notified by Lori that I'd won!! Yes that was me you heard screaming!  I quickly sent her my address and the next week the UPS driver sweetly delivered my package, he could have been the crankiest person around but I wouldn't have cared because when I saw that truck  stop in front of my house I knew the Printer had arrived and I'd already begun doing my Happy Dance!!!

I have, oh no strike that, I had, an EPSON RX620 all in one printer/scanner/fax.  I had just been talking to my daughters about getting one of those skinny mini scanners before I won this.  My EPSON worked like a trouper, I bought it in 2002 so I think it's served me well. Now I'm looking for a new home to send it too and get it off my bedroom floor.

Of course the old printer can't compare to this new one, which prints large format up to 13"x19", is wireless and can print not only from my pc but my iPhone, the cloud anywhere!  The new printer can print directly to DVD's.  Well you get the idea I think I'm in LOVE!

I think it's found a happy little home on my shelf beside my crafty desk

and it prints beautifully at any size!

So today I got an email announcing how you can get $100 off a printer just like mine at My Craft Channel from 3/8-3/14 2015.  I can't thank My Craft Channel enough for this wonderful gift they sent me, it sure brightened up my day, week, month year(s).

So hop on over to My Craft Channel and see what's up.  If you subscribe they'll send you a daily deal right to your inbox.

Most importantly when you see a give away don't pass over it, you need to stick your name in the hat and maybe you'll be as lucky as me!  After all someone has to win don't they???  And don't forget to share the contest, drawing, give away with all your crafty friends so they have a chance to win too!

Lastly THANK YOU - My Craft Channel for my wonderful new printer!

Embossed and Flowered

a Cut at Home Design Team Project

I love embossing and after doing these cards I've decided I just don't do enough of it.  For these cards I used several JustRite Stampers stamps and die sets.  I'll do a complete start to finish on this card on the video below.

I fussy cut a lot of flowers and leaves from Graphic 45's new Home Sweet Home Collection and tucked them under and popped them on top of the sentiment.

The inside was easily completed by using Ornate Corners, another JustRite Stampers stamp set and again embossed (I used Stampendous Sapphire Blue).

This card is the same basics as the first one except I added an additional script stamp on the very back and trimmed the top mat around the curved edges.

Instead of fussy cutting on this one I topped it off with some gathered lace and a decorative button.

Inside is an embossed die cut and a stamped sentiment.  I hope you'll join me on the video as I show you how to make the card and share numerous other photos.

Precious Memories Baby Mini

a Cut at Home Design Team Project

Today's Design Team Project for Cut at Home features Graphic 45's new paper collection Precious Memories.  Darling photos of babies and Mommies designed with a Mother's heart in mind.  I had intended this book be for a little girl but about half way through decided I'd make it unisex instead.

There are a total of 8 pages, each measuring 7 1/2" x 5 3/4".  The book covers are constructed of medium weight chipboard and measure 8" x 6" with a 2 1/2" spine.  I used a combination of all 3 paper pads, the 12x12", 8x8" and 6x6" solids and patterns.

I also used numerous dies for the pocket edges above and many of the mats.  A list of the dies I chose will be included in the supply list below.  Some dies are no longer available at Cut at Home but you can always substitute your favorites or of course find something new to play with, these are only suggestions.

This mini has lots of fussy cut elements, that's because it's something I find fun to do and rewarding when I look at the finished result.  I hope you'll come join me on the video. There are so many pages you haven't seen here.  I'll be sharing my tips, tricks and suggestions for how to do the mini but I won't be doing the total construction because of time restraints.  If you'd like to see basic construction of the cover and spine check out my Playlist Triple Flip Mini

A Celtic Silver Anniversary Card

a Cut at Home Design Team Project

This week I'm bring you a new background stamp from JustRite Stampers called Celtic Lattice.  I love the way it looks.  In the card above I used a StazOn Metallic Silver solvent ink pad to create this shimmery silver look.  If you decide to use this type of ink on your project you will need a solvent ink remover to get it off your stamp.  I used StazOn ink remover.

The flowers are made from Heartfelt Creations Arainna Blooms stamps and dies and heavy duty household Aluminum foil!  I'll show you step by step how I created the flowers and the card assembly on the video.

I am giving you just a tiny sneak peek at the other card I made for St Patti's Day, oh wait oops maybe that's suppose to be St Patrick's Day :-)  Two unique looks from the same background stamp. I also stamped it in a glittery purple WOW embossing powder but ran out of time to make up a card with it, perhaps I'll share it later with you.

Come join me on the video and see the techniques and products I used to create these cards.
